damaged sase from zip code 84096

Not sure exactly how to contact a member so I am hoping they will see this and check it out.

Baker (last name on mailing envelope)

from

Herrinan, UT 84096

your sase envelope was delivered damaged (ripped open) and was presented to me without contents but a message from the postmaster in salt lake city reading that salt lake city received the envelope damaged and empty. i still have your sase seeds and will mail them to you in a fresh envelope but... problem is: I don't know which ones to send you because I don't have your gw name or first name or email or list of the seeds you wanted!!!

please email me at firegurl389@gmail and I'll be sure to see which seeds I was supposed to send to you and i'll cover the stamps it's no problem

Thanks

Danielle

    thanks Aquawise...

I'm bumping this up hoping to find them...

Let's bump this msg up again, maybe they haven't been online recently so they haven't seen it yet. :)

I searched your posts to see if there was anyone who had replied from Utah, but there was no one.

Everyone having their location in their garden zone box (See I am zone 5/6 S INDIANA) so it is automatically shown when one posts, comes in so handy quite often....ie, asking questions, answering questions, finding a member from knowing their location in a case such as this, etc.

To add one's location to their profile and Member Page, just go to the bottom of any page here and click on the Member Pages link. Then choose Edit Your Personal Information, Page, and Preferences. You will them be asked to sign in again. Add your location in the one box provided for the Garden Zone and lastly
    hit Save Your Member Profile.color>

Knowing one's location is also beneficial if one decides to post for plant trades. For numerous reasons, I, like some other members, will not reply to posts where the member's location is not shown.

    Hi Firegurl!

I went through your old post and here is the location info on record for all of the people that posted there. I am emailing you a list that includes the email addresses.

That said, since you posted your actual mailing address, it won't help id someone who sent to you but did not post there. (Next time do not post your mailing address, for a few reasons.)

ohiovalleygardener.....5/6 (one would assume in the OH valley).....email listed
kilngod...(me)...no, because we actually traded, and I'm in KY
    lv2garden2008..........6, cols., OH......email listed
jnubbca................5b(???at least 1 post on OH forum and Midwest forum).....email listed
ihana..................7(???at least 1 post on Carolina forum)......email listed
    cryptid................Southern OR 7......email listed
    rlong_0205.............5/6 N INDIANA....email listed
toriegregory.......no info, but posted later than the damaged sasbe arrived.

Email list is on it's way to you.....
Just email the lot of them, as any of these posted locations, or estimated locations (based on regional forum activity) could be inaccurate.

**For future, when you first start a thread ---- check the little box that says something like "send me an email when people reply to this post". Then when that email comes, you can hit "reply" and the reply will go to the trader. This way, you are communicating with your people in email, and not replying to them here (especially with the mailing address info). A good, and easier, way for future.

Since your post above sounds like you can actually read their mailing address on the envelope, you can also send them a postcard (free ones, pre-postaged are available at the PO if you don't have any), and have them email you about it all. They'll send new postage -- especially if you've already paid for the card stamp. (And then no need to foot the bill for the whole seed pack.)

Ok....I'm up in your business enough already, eh?? I'm email you those addies now.....

And I guess it's of no help if there were people not posting and just emailing you.....

I'm learning too that it's a good idea to require people to "post here" on these things, for the thread record of it.

Hope this all is helpful in some way....

Wow-Tina!!! Now if I needed to hire a secretary, I don't think i could afford you. Very helpful, Unfortunately I don't think they posted on gw.

I am going to require that everyone post on gw for sase from now on. What really bugs me is when someone who asks for sase doesn't mail their end. Only a few this time.

    Thanks

    Danielle,

A couple of other things to add to future offering requirements.

    1. make it quite clear in your post that you will not respond to emails from members that have not posted on the thread first.

    2. Always require members to include their member name in the body of the message. some email servers, including my own, don't show the member name in the addy, just that the email originated from GW. make it clear that the email received without the member name will not be answered either

    3. Then you have to follow through with what you say you will do. Emails received from members that did not post on the thread get ignored. emails received without a member name will be ignored.

    4. Always check a rate and review before setting up a trade.

    5. also, if you are offering BEAP/SASBE. specify the length of time you will hold the seeds for the member in your thread and in your email response always include the length of time and specify the exact date that it must be received by and if not, the seeds go back on the trade list.

    Thanks everyone for your help.
The big mystery is now solved.
It was actually some other mail for me, not GW mail.
I had no idea bc it was during the sase week with lots
    of envelopes coming in.
Glad no one is missing seeds.
