Think it's Aeschynanthus longicaulis.

Webkat,

What color are the flowers? If they're light green it's A. longicaulis if they're yellow-red it could be a hybrid probably A. parasiticus 'black pagoda' which is a hybrid of A. longicaulis and A. speciosus.

Oh, good catch, Mr.B! Just 'cause I have longicaulis and not 'black pagoda' I didn't even think of it!

lol GB the only reason I thought of it was because it's the only one I'm familiar with and have seen in person.

Unfortunately, I don't have it yet...she got the only two they had and I don't have mine yet.

So....I can't tell you about the flowers...she didn't mention them.

I will let you know, though!

I have one that I have had for several years, it is in full bloom right now, has about 25 blooms on it. It is in the greenhouse but never did anything until now I just thought it was something that took special conditions to bloom. I could email a picture to anyone that would like one. The blooms looks like good hummingbird flowers they are about a 2 inch long tube, they are yellowish green on the outside with a pale outlined maroon throat. Jerrie

I would love to see a pic, Jerrie.

If you e-mail it to me, I can post it here...

I would bet that these plants bloomed while at the store and we missed it.

I have this one, and I have a photo of the flowers somewhere....but I can't post photos here on GW...they're always too large and GW 'rejects' them.

I'll try to get back to you on which of those mrb.t. suggested that it might be. (Sorry I can't recall off the top of my head, as I have a couple that are similar but with subtle differences in the blooms.)

Nanw, have you tried uploading to photobucket before posting on the forum?

I found out from someone here, just a couple weeks ago, that photobucket's html tag will let you post pics IN your posting here.

(And as a bonus, pb resizes the pics for you!)

Here is a link that might be useful: photobucket

I posted a couple of pictures of mine in bloom in the gallery portion of this forum. Jerrie
