Warding off Evil Spirits

I've been working on a series of Masks lately to hang on the privacy fence surrounding our backyard patio. I wasn't able to upload them to my webspace so I put them on my homepage instead-- follow the link and scroll down to the bottom of the page. The tubes you see coming out a of few of them will be cut flush with the tufa when dry, hopefully they will facilitate hanging. The tubes are embedded into wire mesh. The tufa recipe is made with very little sand, it's basically peatmoss and portland. I want them to be as light as possible when dry so they don't warp my fence posts. I'll attach a photo of one, you will have to follow the link to see the rest.

They're wonderful! And where have you been girl???? We've missed seeing your beautiful grots in here! Your name comes up time and again because some newbie will inevitably pull up your website when searching for grots and come back with a link expressing "you SHOULD see this site--these grots are great"

Wylee, Love the masks. That's what I like about the portland and peat moss only recipe, nice and light.
I was wondering what happened to you and if you still have those giants heads. How are all the kitties doing? Billie

After a few days I figured out how to upload photos to my webspace again... a couple months ago I bought a new puter and well... I'm still learning. So here are all the photos.

Hi Howie, how ya doing? Do I know you with another name maybe? I'd like to build a whole new website as that one has become just to cumbersome to try to update. If anybody has good suggestions for free webspace drop me an email. Hi Billie, yes I still have all the giant heads and everything. My life got more than a little nuts this past year... my husband was diagnosed with cancer. He's doing fine now, thank goodness, and I'm just starting to tufa again. I missed it so. I missed normal life so!

Wylee, my inspiration for Carl II and his globe thistle brother - now my inspiration for learning to tufa- I am so sorry to hear of your husband's illness. I hope all is going well for you both now. Glad to hear you are back doing tufa. Don't the creative projects soothe the soul? (why I am looking for more bowling balls.) Best of wishes to you!
