Release agent suggestions needed

I recently found two plastic salad bowls that I'd like to use as molds. One has a rather smooth surface that I don't think I'll have any trouble with as far as removing the concrete from the mold. The other has a lot of relief impressions of flowers all over it...no undercuts. I think this one would/could cause problems if I don't get the release agent in all the nooks and crannies (sp?). If I use salad oil or kitchen spray, how can I be sure I have everything covered? I also thought of using a wide brush dipped in petroleum jelly and swirling it around in all the impressions. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what would be the best way to insure that the impressions "take"? Thanks.
