Questions about plywood molds

Just have a few questions about making some plywood molds for troughs.

I realize the molds are screwed together, but is there any type of releasing agent I should be using on the plywood? I am not too worried about the outer mold, but how about the inner mold?

Also, I have read that I can and should leave the inner mold in longer...especially if I am carving or working on the exterior of the trough. Any experiences or suggestions with this? Our basement is about 60...any thoughts on timing?

Oh, and how about the bottom of the mold...when should this be taken off?

I just did my first attempt in the basement with a styrofoam mold, and I did not like the give it had...even with duct tape...so I wish to make up some wooden molds.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

thanks

michele
