I called the local brickyard. The guy there had no idea what it was, but when I described what it does, he gave me other phone numbers to call. I ended up getting it from a mason's supply house that wasnt even in the phone book.

Go to Google and input "Grace Industries".I'm using their cryogenic size perlite,real fine stuff!You should be able to locate a source near you.

Call Grace industries 1-800 and ask them to give you the names of local dealers.
Grace provides much of the Perlite Vermiculite in North America.
There is a very good chance you will have to order the finer grades like Cryogenic Perlite.
But you will be pleasantly surprised to find it as cheap or cheaper than the horrorcultural stuff.:)

You could try Harborlite if you can't find it locally. They have 4 cu. foot bags.
