Mike, Have you tried harware stores like ACE Hardware or a local small store for the small bags of Quikrete portland cement? Quikrete makes 2 size bags of cement 94 lb and 47 lb.
Regarding the sand mix, are you talking about Quikrete's sand/topping mix? Try a search on the forum using topping mix and you may find Dena's old posts. I think that Dena used this once in a while and use to recommend that you mix the ingredients in the bag because they could separate. Billie

thanks for you quick reply, I have a class tomorrow and wanted to include some options. 90lbs can be a problme for some. I did not know about the smaller bags of portland.
I was at one of the big boxes today and saw a vinyle concrete patch in 60 lbs for about $11 . Basically portland and sand - I am sure it works just need to adjust the amount of cement ( mix). I will search for Dena's post - I have seen it somewhere.
