Hypertufa and extra shapes

I am relatively new to tufa, been making 5+ pots a week plus a few odds and ends. Now I want to use an oddball shaped form and just work the tufa into the form. Do I need to add something to the tufa to make it stick etc. Anyone with experience doing this. I am thinking maybe some odd shaped driftwood, or metal forms or who knows what?

I have used various glass vases etc and filled them with tufa and like what has come out so far. The world appears full of forms we can use, even if they are one time only.

Tufa is interesting and so far some things work, and others do not. Mistakes are made and I hope to be able to use them all. grin...
