On the hypertufa train

My daughter, sister, niece and I teamed up for a multi-generational hypertufa project the other day. Overall it was a success, but we had a lot of trouble getting things out of the molds. We used cooking spray on most things (I was the worst at forgetting to spray my molds.) But we had to cut most of our molds off and break some pots getting them out of others (most notably a metal loaf pan I want to use again.)

I love the smooth look of plastic and metal molds on the hypertufa. Wondering if I should use the lard from the pantry next time and really slather it on...

Luckily, this mistake led to my favorite container...a cream carton with a green glass bottle inside that I ended up breaking off and filing down. I even died it blue with some leftover tie-dye. As soon as I figure out how to post a photo I'll put it on here. My other favorite pot came out of a plastic bowl with a bowling ball in the middle. Thank you interwebs!!!
