Round 'Balls'

For those of you that lament that you can't get round tufa spheres(or crete as well)check out any articles about the round balls of Costa Rica.These weird suckers are PERFECTLY round,and would have been done with very crude implements.

And,they're carved from volcanic ROCK!

So.....if the ancient natives can do it,you can,too.

I saw a portion of that program a couple weeks ago. Do you suppose the rock was softer way back when? :)

Thanks.I missed seeing them when I was down there years ago,will try to when we go for our honeymoon(belated)probably next year.
And,you're right.Damn fine weather.Hope it stays over the 6/7 August,because we got us an outdoor craft show to go to!
Meanwhile,like the lady said"come on up and see us sometime..."
