Go to the FAQs of this forum for a variety of recipes and tips. All concrete needs to "cure" and the slower, the better. If it dries too fast, the cure is insufficient and the concrete is weak. Because of the wet peat, it takes hypertufa longer to cure than regular concrete, but that's not a bad thing, it's just the way it is. Until it is fully cured (and it can cure while quite wet) we need to treat it carefully

Think of it this way: if we could see through it like Superman and could magnify what we see, each itty bitty particle would be surrounded by concrete. And at that level we could notice that the chemical changes in the concrete occur (and actually generate heat) producing a new and different product: hardened concrete.
