Well,here in Canada,we have Target Products.As for white sand,you can get silica flour from pottery making stores.Go for a 250 mesh.For the coloured slags,since you already contacted your masonry store(they're the dumb bunnies,not you!)try for the supplier of sand in your area.You need a producer of the product,then work back to a retailer,like your masonry store.With luck,you can buy direct.Another thought is car painting places.They use these sands and slags for sandblasting.Then,following on that thought,check your area for people who DO sandblasting.
