Retired middle school health teacher here. Fact is we have all kinds of unenumerated needs. We all recognize our need for food, water, shelter. But we also have needs to keep ourselves clean, to feather our nests and to be creative. Some of us find hypertufa our "medium of choice" in the creative department. There's a landfill somewhere just waiting for my stuff, but we creative artists are very process oriented so the making is very satisfying. Now, if only I were an artisan in addition to scratching my creative needs . . . so I could produce a quality product!

This is my refuge. I sneak out to my greenhouse-mad laboratory and do want I want. Not what I am supposed to do. This is my sanity. If something actually resembles a shape or an artistic creation, so much the better. Besides...I can't hear the phone out there ;)

No, no, no, leastblue! Don't be intimidated, be inspired!

Sometimes folks cannot see the uniqueness of their vision because it either came easily to them or didn't seem to be much of a stretch, but when that person's creations are seen by others, those people recognize the talent that is displayed. Even if you are recreating an item/idea that you saw on this forum, your creation will be your own individual interpretation of what you have been inspired to make.

Take the plunge! The mud is great! :D
