It describes the project and says they used quick drying cement. That would not be portland and water. It also mentions he peels away the aluminum pie pan after the paver dries.

I had my kids do stepping stones. We used cake pands so the sides would be straight. The concrete does pop right out of the tin. You dont even need to do a lot of peeling.

Wish I had thought of using the sand on the bottom and putting thier decorations in that. They might have embedded better than pushing them in the top. After a few years the flat marbles are popping out.

I wonder how strong the stepping stones would be? I had thought about doing some out of the hypertufa for a long path I need but wasn't sure how strong they would be?
Any comments welcome to this newbee to the concrete forms. I am very in love with this.
