I would like to make some paths for my garden, and I've been having trouble deciding on the material. As much as I love the more traditional garden path materials--brick, stone, pebbles, etc.--I'd like something that really says "Florida", and so I was thinking that a material that looked something like coquina/tabby/limestone or even crushed shells would be best (though I am open to other suggestions if any of you have any). Do any of you know how I could create such an effect?

I don't know yet whether I would try to make "pavers" and put them together to form the paths or if I would actually try to pour the path one section at a time. I just came up with the idea, and I'm trying to decide if it's feasible and what it would involve. I have very little experience with concrete and none with hypertufa, so probably any advice you have to give would be helpful to me.
