information on making leaves needed!

hi

I have just been searching for the really basic information on making these amazing leaves of hypertufa and see lots of projects but not a simple "how do you do this" posting. I don't even know how to start! Have only made planters so far and can't for the life of me see how a leaf can be made. What am I missing when I look this up!!!

Tufa doesn't pick up the detail that a sand/cement mix will.
