another re-potting question?

Ok, I've repotted alot of my plants using miracle grow potting soil mixed with perlite, I also gave the smaller plants one food spike and the larger ones two food spikes. They all look happy, this has been a long process, i would'nt say i have alot of plants but i have a few and it took time, anyways i was wondering your opinions on those fertilizer spikes. They seem so simple but do they do any good?

I don't really like them because I don't think they distribute nutrients evenly. And sometimes when I used to use them a long time ago when I tried to stick the stick in I could hear roots ripping and that just sounds painful.

I find the dilution and application of liquid fertilizer to be much easier, safer and reliable.

I never used bagged peat-moss potting soils, and I never use or advise fertilizer spikes.
They don't help - but can potentially harm - your plants.

I would remove the spikes.
