That's interesting, Andrea. The volume of the sphere is roughly half the volume of the cube.

Did you know that a sphere encloses the most volume per surface area just as a circle encloses the most area per linear unit of circumference. So if you want the most area in your pasture with the least amount of fence... make it a circle.

If you look at the formula provided by TE, it looks more complicated, but at the end you get the same resort. I like the simple way, I count in my head and on paper, for me it is faster than the calculater.
