Hypertufa for holding stone table top

I have a 350lb stone table top and need a solution for the table base. Straight cement is far too heavy, as I estimate I need at least 10 bags of 80lb cement. The base needs to be about 27 inches high and the top and bottom about 30 inches in diameter. Can Hypertufa be used to create a stone-like table base? If so, what re-inforcement should I be thinking about?

Hypertufa would probably not be a good choice.
You won't save that much weight and lose a great deal of strength.
Tango is the guy who has the solution. Check his website.
You should consider Ferrocement.
Strong concrete on a steel armature.
The Armature will support your top and themn you can concentrate on the finish.
