GREAT job!!! How nice to see them finished and a great paint job too. I still don't have the hands and feet on m figure, always something getting in the way, lol.

Your work is sensational and I am willing to bet that the local bears would be fooled into having to smell to make sure they are not real! You certainly have talent. Just think, when you are famous, we can all say "we knew her when". Thank you for sharing your work, it and you are surely inspirational.

Hi and thank you all for your compliments! Wow I haven't checked in for awhile (I didn't know there were so many great comments or I would have been here sooner! LOL). There were a couple of questions . . . the claws . . .on these two I just used papercrete. On my first two bears I used sculpey, baked it, painted it, and installed it into the sculpture. Using just papercrete is much easier. My next project . . . I bought a beach ball and I plan to make a spehre of papercrete. Once finished, I will put a small bear on it but I think they will again be seperate peices. It has started raining in Washington already :( This makes working difficult. I do have a greenhouse and I was thinking of converting it to a work shop. I will check in again when I begin the next project. Thanks again for all you wonderful comments . . . you give me the inspiration to continue working.

When you mix you ingredients, do you soak your "insulation' first before you add your other ingredients?
why I'm asking, is I've made a couple small papercrete items....but I soaked the paper first, sqeezed out the water, and added the port, and joint compound. The mix gets lumpy. Not bad, but lumpy.
