Not knowing anything about this subject personally, I asked and found out this about using oyster shells -- here is what I was told by someone who has been putting up buildings/construction projects with concrete for many years:

"Oyster shells in concrete; salt not the issue; shells almost pure calcium carbonate; affects the chemical make-up of the portland cement. Stay away from".
