Leaching Time for Border Edging Stacking Stones?

IÂm making hypertufa dry-stacking stones to use as a border edging separating the flower beds from the garden paths. These will be dry-stacked four to five inches high. Since they are used only as border edging, will I still need to leach these to prevent possible plant damage and, if so, how long would you suggest. The stones will vary in size length and thickness. The one shown below is roughly 12" x 5" x 1". They will be as thick as 2-3". The fuzzy stuff is fibermesh which I will burn off once the tufa finishes curing and is dry. Thanks, Mike
