If you have a plastic storage container or a couple big buckets you can cure your bricks in these filled with water. Change the water a couple times and in a few days your bricks should be good to go.:)
Or just lay them out on the ground and soak them a few times.
Given your climate I doubt you will have much of a problem even if you do nothing, but hosing them down a couple times won't hurt.

Mike, Unless your plants are sensitive to lime don't worry about it, stack away.
Why are you using fiber mesh? Is this an additive in the mix you are using or are you adding it to the mix? If you're adding it don't bother. It's just adding cost and labor for this project. Billie

Billie: Thanks for replying. The "stones" vary in thickness with some only 1" thick. I thought the fibermesh would give me added strength. You don't think I need fibermesh with 1" thick "stones"?

Well, I wore out another wire brush, so I'm off to get some more.........

It will be a border edging dry stacked. They will be dry stacked 3-5 "stones" high and the height may increase a little as time goes by. Since the "stones" won't all be the same thickness and they will overlap, I was concerned they would break if weight was added. I plan to have spring garden tours once I'm finished and you know how young kids are; they have to stand on top of eveything...... - Mike

Mike, Don't believe the size fiber mesh stones you are making will "stand up" to standing on them either. Fiber mesh is used in concrete to help minimize cracking not for strength. What hypertufa recipe are you using? Billie

I've played with several mixes Billie Ann and I mix in a handfull of fibermesh each time:

1 cement, 1 peat, 1 vermiculite
1 cement, 1 peat, 1 perlite
1 cement, 1 peat, 1/2 perlite, 1/2 vermiculite
1 cement, 2 peat, 2 vermiculite
1 cement, 2 peat, 2 perlite
1 cement, 2 peat, 1 vermiculite, 1 perlite

I tossed in some liquid dye (buff) into one of the mixes and I didn't notice a significant color change while it was still wet. That mix is still curing so I don't know how it looks once it has dried.
