Tufa Questions
Hi all!
I've been reading until my eyes are blurry and learned a lot. Will be attempting some tufa projects this winter. My initial questions which I couldn't find answer to are:
1. Can I make the pieces in a cold garage? I probably will have a heater of some kind running, but probably will be 50 degrees or below in there.
2. Then Can I leave the "masterpiece" in there to cure with
3 And, sorry, but this Portland thing. I found Lafarge type I&II regular portland cement, I found Ash Grove Portland Cement, I've seen Portland Cement Quickcrete, I've read about Portland Type 3. I'm so confused. I don't want to use the wrong thing to start out with. I trust the bag doesn't say "pure Portland" so what EXACTLY should I look for on the bag?
4. About the sand. Any sand that says "coarse" will work?
That's all for now! I want to give myself a fighting chance at success on my first projects.
Thanks for the help!
