Off-Road Work Table & Hoist - Justin

Justin asked to see some improvemnts I recently made to my work area so I just added a couple of pix to the "Tools" album. A work table on wheels and a cheap-o hydraulic hoist. Still need one more really big work table...maybe a 16 footer similar to the 10 footer in the photo, but I'll have to wait until the wheels go on sale again.

Here is a link that might be useful: See the

    Tango,

Holy Moly, I think you need to rig a trailor hitch to that work table! It looks like you have the perfect one-man operation going...I guess I'll toss my resume :) Thanks for posting the pics, that was very interesting!

Justin --- Very observant. It is actually set up so that I can tow it with my lawn tractor/mower!

A mobile workbench with a trailer hitch...my dad will be drooling. He's building a not-so-little stonehenge replica :)

Justin --- are you serious???...a mini-Stonehenge??? How very excellent! You are definitely gonna' have to keep us posted on this project. We want specs, details and (of course) pictures!

It also sounds like there is a story here. Who is the "bad" influence on who in this relationship?

Oh, and just in case you are seroius...the 10" pneumatic wheels can be had through Harbor Freight. Got mine on sale for $8 bucks apiece on sale with a little haggling.

Best of luck and keep us posted.

    Tango,

If only I were kidding :) Welcome to ROTHENGE!

He even has it aligned with the sun, so it's an accurate solar calendar (of course he's the only one that can read it). I've been trying to convince him to build with concrete so he can scale up, but he's content to dragging these mini-monoliths all over the Ozarks.

Thanks for the info, I'm sure he will consider it.

Justin --- Wow!!! My hat's off to your dad! For twenty-plus years, one of my (many) back-burner fantasy projects has been to construct some form of large scale astronomical calandar. Glad to see there are still folks out there who take the time to do what is REALLY important in life and actually fulfill their fantasies! Outstanding. Please pass on my regards and let him know his efforts are appreciated and have rekindled a spark in another dreamer. So...what time does the Tour Bus depart?

HAHAHAHA! You're one of them, eh? He would be so tickled to hear that. All he gets is razzing from us and odd looks from the neighbors :) He's currently working on an analemma stone for the center piece.

I'm sure he'd be happy to talk to someone else that has the same interest. Now you understand my questions about the hoist and heavy-duty mobile tables :)

20+ years you say? I wonder if that means I'm in the clear...
