Ok, I'm just getting more and more excited. :)
On the low retaining walls we'll have, I was going to face with stone. My husband is a contractor and can sometimes bring home beautiful, beautiful stone.
However, that means a lot of waiting with what will be cinder block base walls.
If I got really ambitious and wanted to cover them with hypertufa, how do I get that material to adhere to the blocks and not break off in big hunks? Staple chicken wire to it? Build chicken wire into the blocks' mortar?
I have very little artistic skills, unless it involves fabric, computers or plants. Are there molds or shapes that I can use to actually get stone-like pieces made? I don't want the walls to look like a bunch of slattened spit balls..
Thanks for the suggestions. I haven't come across these questions on the board. Just these blithe mentions of "sculpting" the mix. That, in itself, is weighing heavily enough that I hate to even try. Encourage me! :)
