Wow, even So. Dak. waited for Halloween almost every year when I was growing up. But there was 1 time it snowed all the day before, usually went into town to be with cousin but weather too bad so dad took me in car. At every house they gave me lot of candy, popcorn balls,cookies etc. & at 2- 3 houses gave us hot choc. Some called next neighbors to see if we had it OK. We were stuffed & came home with so much as we had been only ones out to most of the houses!! We only went about 1/2 mile & was just getting worse so went on home. Hope your snow disappears so you have some fun with the kids, tho candy is getting expensive, I got it today. Wow! So looks like it could be long winter for you!! Hope not! Jan

Is it snowing today Kathy? We're just getting buckets of rain in VA and lots of wind. Cold and rainy...my favorite. NOT!!

Yesterday (Saturday) we drove down to Boston area to a nieces house warming party. The drive back was pretty hairy-scarey, but it got better and better as we got further north. (Fortunately our snow tires are on rims and dh put them on his car before we left.) Lots of cars off the road, but we went quite a bit faster than most with no slippage. It still took us almost 4 hours for a 2hr 15min trip.

Southern New England was hit worse in the storms last year too. Strange.

Bummer! It's too early for snow. It was sunny and upper 50 today in middle tenn.

No snow here, but no rain either....
Everything is dying. I went to Indiana on sept 23
and my DD said there was only rain once. Got back
a week ago and got a sprinkle tonight. Not enough
to even wet the ground just the road.
The dust is terrible, with construction of a service
station just across the road, and the grass is crunchy.
