I have a new method for posting cuttings long distance I put them cylindrical plastic container which is water tight and wrap the cuttings roots in damp fabric I also pre soak the roots for a couple of days to ensure about ten days of travel time...the furthest I've sent them using this method is Canada ...

Have you tried the plant trade forums? You might be able to find them in the US there. Also Logees and glasshouse works might have the ones you are looking for. GHW has some that are not New Guinea hybrids.

I've looked at those and I haven't found something like the old fashioned impatiens. But I did find something close, but it wasn't it. The clone was sterile so it would be reproduced through seeds like the ones I'm looking for are. But thank you for trying to help out!!

Can anyone advise the best compost for the old-fashioned type? I don't think that mine are in the correct type......

Compost be careful I made the mistake of buying it at the local garden centre and got loads of white flies for my troubles Mine all grow nicely in plain old mud. I'm on chalk soil on the South Downs in southern England and they are quite happy with that.

The original plant that resurfaced from the pot in the hallway my parents kept that basically looked like a bunch of dead old roots... got to love these plants when it comes to revival. This plant is more than 36 years old and was a wedding gift from a friend of my mums.

Hi I have a busy lizzie I grew from seeds. It has grown to over 2foot tall shoots full of leaves but in 8 months no flowers yet. If is very demanding of water. Seeds and soil came as a kit. I have fed with pot plant food baby bio and added more compost/soil. When will I get any flowers.

I dont know if you all know, you can give the plant tea once a month it does wonders. make the tea with milk half of a suger let it go cold then give it to the plants.

Lovely heirloom houseplant that grows like a hedge.

Currently 23 inches high. It was 3 tiny stems 3 months ago. They do exceptionally well with grow lights. Experimenting with different LED spectrums I found that red and white promote fast growth, thick stems and branching between leaf stems. Purple lighting promotes compact growth and large deep green leaves.

This was the mother plant without supplemented lighting. Smaller, pale green leaves, almost no branching between leaf stems (unless pinched) and thin stem growth.

I never knew this was a hard plant to get! i have 5 huge ones! i prop every spring and grow a whole new one 😅 One even turned into a hanging lady! She’s 3ft 7inches from too to bottom! My newest is my favourite. Completely chopped to base and she is a beautiful bush now about to flower like crazy 😍
