If they're the same vases as in your mini album, what about mosaic?
I've never done mosaic but I could see the curves and shape of these looking abfab!

I really like the lines and texture on these.

I wondered about something on the top, so the rain doesn't fill them up, and just put them in the garden as is...

What about just a plain cork? It would give them a "seed jug" look and be simple enough to do.

Ok, is it just me or are there no pictures visible?

No it's me. I'm photo challenged. Look under MJs mini album and you'll see the gourd shaped vases.
or someone else who knows what they're doing could help out?

I like the cork idea!

Thank you, Halley Rose!

Those are really unusual....I don't have any wonderful suggestions for you though. The only thought that came to mind was that they looked like spider bodies to me....but a lot of people don't like spiders. Are they ceramic??

See they kind of remind me of a chicken ...

But mine is a real gourd with air drying clay for the comb, eyes, beak and mustache thingy. lol! Not sure what you could do with yours.

LOL, I see birdhouses. Making a hanger out of twine, and painting them up with bright southwest style patterns.

Or they kinda look like the bottoms of a golf club (I'm not a golfer so I don't know which club.) But you could put in some kind of stick for the shaft and paint it all up and make giant golf clubs. Add a painted hard ball as the golfball.

I love all the ideas- thanks!

They are 'pottery'- I don't know any other word. They have an original Walmart sticker on the bottom, but I got them from a local auction.

They are pretty heavy- I won't be carrying two at a time!

moj...YUP...put a "cork" in it! I see them sitting outside in your gardens...maybe on display like this rack I have outside or tucked in among some hostas...but I would definitely look for that rope-macrame like stuff...looks like "diamonds" ...buoys hang from the rope, I think...oh, the OW is not letting me remember what they are called! I'll try to find a pic...some GJers have some in their gardens...I remember someone had a galvanized tub full of them! Beautiful finds, mjo! Love pottery! Jeanne S.

my baker's rack on the open patio...

could it be a fishing net? :)

I know what you're talking about.

Now -where to find a 3" cork???

I found my corks!!

Check out this place- if they don't have it, you don't need it!
