Planter Chair

Hi all, Here is some treasures I found at the curb in June:

I took the plexiglas out of the bottom pane and cut it in two circles ( I found 2 chairs)

I cut some wood and fit it into the window bottom and painted it with chalkboard paint. I'll mosaic the top and add some wine corks to the bottom or sides for a corkboard.

It will be like this ( hopefully) {{gwi:131297}}From Crafts
Here is the chair ( finally done) All I need now is Spring and some flowers to put in it!

Your chair is darling! Love the color with the mosiac. Cool idea with the chalk board & cork. Will you put that in your kitchen or does it go in an office?

Beautiful chair, I think the chalkboard will look better with corks on either side of it. It's going to be very nice! Jan

Thank you all for your kind words !! I haven't done many outside objects lately. Somehow after the gnome houses I did after being inspired here, I became addicted to mosaics. I think once the weather breaks, I'll get the bug to do more garden items.
I haven't touched the window yet, I don't really have any room in my house for it, It would be nice to sell if it comes out and the economy perks up, eh? I can see it in a Italian restaurant !
Hi Kirk !! I try to come here often to look at everyones great creations. I do love this forum, it's where I started out, but life justs gets crazy sometimes.

You really are a fantastic mosaicer!! I love the mixed medium. Maybe, one day, I'll try my hand at that. And the chair is perfect for outdoors. I have wooden things that are starting to fall apart. I'm gonna look for a metal one now.
Is it still cold up there? Can you send some of that down here PLEASE??? I never thought I'd say I'm looking forward to winter!
