Oh believe me I am far from an expert, but maybe you could stake it. My one plant I just stuck a stick in and tied the plant up at different intervals. Instead of it sprawling all over the place, I thought well I have to do something. Felt like you do, I have this plant, now what should I do?

I second staking..For one, by hanging every which way, it's easy to get knocked down...believe me..
It'll also look neater standing straight..what I did with philos that tended to lean was used a wooden stake, stuck as close as possible to center of pot, (w/o breaking roots) used green ti's bought at HD, then attached..
My Xanadu started hanging.,..I did the stake thing, plus rotated pot once a wk..it suddenly straighted out by itself..I no longer use a stake...this is not to say it'll be the same for all philos..Many of my philos/Monsteras are growing on poles. I really think rotating helps..Toni
