Light Fixture Birdhouse

Remember this pic of the good TS finds I got last month:

Well, today DH & I built a bdhse to use that light fixture on. It's old barnwood with a cedar roof & treated lumber base. I stained it with cherry stain & then brushed on outdoor white paint & rubbed it around to make it look like old wood...and I used a bit of hammered black paint on the roof also. It turned out like this:

It's a double-holer with a divider...so hope to get some neighborly friendly birds...when ground thaws (a bit later!), we will put in a post out in my secret garden in the pines. What fun! Lookin' forward to Spring! Jeanne S.

Jean, this is one of the prettiest birdhouses I've ever seen. It's absolutely gorgeous. Seriously, if you can find more pieces like that and make these birdhouses, you most certainly would have no trouble selling these at a Spring/Summer fair, even at a farmer's market. Either put them on a long pole or attach a eyehook for hanging. Again, it's gorgeous, I love it.
