Mail Box Planter

I got this last week at the GW for $1.99, it was already painted pink. I got it to make a birdhouse, then decided to make it into a planter, maybe next year I'll make it a bird duplex!

That's very cute!!! I like all your things that you have on your porch, very cozy. I wish I had a porch that was bigger to do more with. Today I stopped at the thrift store and picked up an old galvanized mop wringer bucket, a hanging planter, and a hand-blown daffodil stem, I plan to use as a butterfly feeding station.
I was thinking about planting some things in the mop bucket too.
    Happy hunting.

Excellent planter, it's very pretty on the wall. I have been looking for pics of the angel on the wall next to it. Would you mind taking a pic of just that and posting it?

That is cool, and looks just perfect where it is and the way you've planted it. I love it.

Thanks ya'll :) No one has even noticed that huge thing right next to the front door yet, I can't believe it!
Sal here is a pic of that garden angel. I made it a while back, it's from the GW Christmas clearance stuff, probably paid a quarter for it, don't remember. But I copied this from some one else, and Sweets directions for that "rusty" look. It still smells like cinnamon :) I used the red oxide primer, sprinkled on cinnamon while it was still wet, sprayed more red primer, more cinnamon, and then clear sealer. She's held up quite well. I always figured I'd make her look like a weather vane one day...

Kudzukween - Love the planter! Isn't it fun to find and then recycle something so cute and useful! Here's a pic I posted awhile back of my $1 mailbox.

Love the angel and thanks for the instructions...but I DID notice the big thing by the door... made of windows and looks like fairy things in it. The old windows is on my "to-do" list ...especially love this one of yours! Jeanne S.

Love yours Jeanne, wish I'd found one like that instead:) I guess I was lucky to find the one I did since everything blew away. Love the green color, a lot of my things are painted like that.
That is a little table top greenhouse my husband made for me, and I do have fairy stuff in it,lol. My friend gave me the fairy, the wind chime part broke off years ago. I found the little wicker minis at a yard sale, they match the set DH bought me that sits on the front porch, so I stuck it in there, too. Nothing but a couple plants in it now, needs to be cleaned out. I added a fork chandelier a couple weeks ago.

Thank you for posting the pic of the Angel, it's exactly what I'm looking for. I'll have to check the stores around Xmas time to get a good deal.
