It looks like an Anthurium to me..Toni

It looks like my swiss cheese plant did when it was young and before it developed leaves with windows.

Eileen

I also vote Anthurium...

GH

I believe it's a baby Monstera deliciosa.
Randy

I believe Randy. We have lots & lots of baby Monsteras at work & they look just like the pic.

Hmm...it reminds me of my Lady Jane Anthurium. You'll know soon enough if it flowers..Mine has pink flowers when it blooms..usually in winter..Toni

Randy's the resident aroid expert...go with what he says. He knows a LOT more about aroids than I do! Time will tell you for sure.

GH

Yep, Randy is a pro for sure..so I'll have to go along w/what he says..LOl..Toni

Well, how exciting! I had been wanting a Split-leaf Philo...unwittingly finding it for 3 bucks...yipee!

Thanks everyone!

Hi Webkat,

Be sure to label it with it's correct botanical name: Monstera deliciosa. It's no longer classified as a Philodendron.

Be sure to post back and let us know how it's growing!

GH

I'm far from an expert... I've killed quite a few aroids in the past.

GH, is it still also known as a swiss cheese plant? I had no idea it was no longer classified as a philodendron. Any reason why? Just curious....I love plant info!

Eileen

Randy, wow, that Monstera is beautiful. I love its coloring..You find the nicest plants..Toni

Do you have any advice for lighting/water requirements?
