I'll have to get a picture but I have an Amish buggy wheel in the front bed along with a plow shear and a disc. We found the two farm machinery pieces in the yard when we dug for drainage ditches. The only sad thing is they are like pure rust and keep falling apart. I like the rust look but maybe it's time to spray them with Rustoleum so that I can keep them for many years to come!

That design looks fantastic. You might want to just put them up higher when the little ones come along.

Sweets, try sealing the buggy wheel and the rusty look should be good for awhile.

I love where you have placed your rotary hoe. It certainly looks nice. You asked if we could post pictures of old farm stuff we have used in the garden. I will try.

My daughter and I found two of those rotary hoes at a swap meet. She left hers natural like yours, I painted mine like a flower, and had hubby weld it onto a long piece of rabar that I had painted green.

Here are two more things. The first is an old homemade hand plow that we found on the back side of our land. You can't see it for the cypress vine, but trust me, it's under there. The second is an old tractor seat that my father gave me before he passed away. Hubby welded it to a piece of pipe and used an old plow disk as the base. Painted it black and I used it to hold a potted plant.

I have a big scythe that I would love to hang on my garage, but I'm afraid that someone will get hurt. I would love to get my hands on an old cultivator, only I'd have to chain it to something because things tend to get up and walk away from my yard!

craftylady2006, it's not the wheel that is rusty. I have a rusty plow shear and disc that we found while digging in the yard. They are all totally rust! :)

My MIL just got an old cultivator at a flea market around here last Saturday. She paid $20 for it, which is cheap here. But while the rest of you stick them outside, she's putting hers in the family room in the basement :) A lot of the things I see you guys stick outside, we put inside. MIL and I LOVE primitive antiques! We hate to stick this stuff outside and have it fall apart!
