I love mirrors in the garden and yours are just tooooo beautiful. I have a couple of barnboard framed mirrors I use outside. Not elegant like yours but good for this ol' farm.

I went to a store called Dollarama, and they have an assortment of self sticking thin mirrors, cutlery(dining rm),hearts(bedrm),Butterfly(bedrm) and lamp silhouette(liv,rm). I drilled the holes with a small bit, of course I can never be careful(like a bull in a china shop) and so my holes caused some damage...but I don't mind, as it's just an experiment anyways...so the hearts and butterflies came in a 2 pack set, so you get 2 for $2. So it cost me $4 to make this butterfly set! Plus some chain that I had bought(cuz ya never know when you need chains and hooks!lol)(is a chain hook set for hanging baskets)at a thrift store along my travels....I don't know if they will hold up outside as I don't know how good the adhesive is on these, but hey, even a summer out of them for $4 is fun!!!

Great find, Jane! It's fun you got them hung so you can enjoy them now and will mosaic them later for evenmore charm.

Love 'em! Now if we just had one of those Dollaramas around here! I have a couple of metal butterflies on my balcony. One I got at Joann's for a few bucks. One of its antennas was broken so I broke off the other one. You can't even tell. It's about 2' across and nice and rusty. The other one I found at a thrift store for a few bucks. That one is black and about 18" across. Your mirrored butterflies would make a great addition to the collection! I bet they will look awesome mosaiced!
