I used to visit a statuary shop in California quite frequently years back. One conversation with the owner was, "How do you repair a piece that breaks?"
His answer was, "Use BONDO."
This product is used by folk in the auto body repair business as filler for dents. Back in the 50Âs, when hot rods were on every block, BONDO was a key ingredient in creating stylish body adjustments.

My suggestion is to pin the piece with a small diameter rod. Using a masonry drill (available at almost any hardware or home building supply) that is bigger than the metal rod drill a hole in both the head and the antler, mix the BONDO and fill each hole, insert the rod into the head, and push the antler on the remainder of the rod. You can wipe away the excess that should ooze out being careful not to disturb the bond, In 24 hours you should be able to dress the wound and be back in business.

That's what I would do.

I glued the head of my cement deer on with E-6000. That was 5 years ago and it's holding up great.

I have another cure for your broken deer. We have a pair of the sitting up lions and one outstretched paw got broken off. We used J.B. Weld on it and it has held 5 or more years.

I use E6000 & hold it togeather with duck tape untill it dryes.Works for me.

Weldbond is another great adhesive (can be found at most home improvement stores) for something like this. It holds up in any kind of weather.

But if you have chips missing from the break, I'd say Robert's idea of using Bondo would probably be better.

The last storm caused a planter to fall on my two cement Deers. One, it snapped in half and the legs crumbled. I am currently on task to repair them as best as I can. When I do I will try and update you
