Oh My! Is that a real stuffed alligator? I wonder how long he will last outdoors? He's apt to scare the crap out of somebody!!

He is a real stuffed alligator or a caymen I think. I bought him at a yard sale for my son. He and a friend used it in a movie and it split open. The saw dust was coming out so i was going to toss him in the trash but on the way I thought why not add him to the yard.
My husband noticed one couple walking along take a real good look at him before they walked by.

I imagine he will return to the earth on his own in one season. I guess I could always leave the eyes (just marbles) in the garden in his memory.
Cherry

What is the little tree the alligator is under, I have one a friend bought me at a plant sale that looks like that one, but not as big, she says it is a peanut butter tree bc the leaves smell like pb when you rub them. I was wondering if yours is the same?

I am in zone 7, it is an American redbud.

Love your BB's. Wouldn't they be cute with faces, since they have little hats? As for as the Alligator...YIKES! When we lived in our old house, we had a four footer in our pond. Then two in the yard. Funny thing one night I got home and they were in the yard, called 911 and three cops showed up and swarmed the yard with their big lights...it was dark and when you shined a light you could see the alligators eyes...spooky for sure. Anyway, after that night, we never saw them again.

I like that Cherry, also the walking stick! My DH has a huge collection of those...hmmm,lol! I finally lost the redbud my mother planted years and years ago, the first sure sign of spring I always looked forward to,it couldn't escape the last hurricane. Oh dear, if I had that gator in my yard someone would shoot it,lol!! I can remember going to school and being sent home, school was closed til they caught the little alligators running loose:) Yeah, that was out in the boonies:)
