Corn plant help

I have a corn plant that I would like to re-do. Has anyone tried to cut off a corn plant and re-root the cutting? Mine is almost to the ceiling, 15', and the painter got paint all over it that I can't reach to clean off. It's been a good plant and I'd like to salvage it.

yes you can. What i've done is cut the plant at the height you want it to start regrowing. You can cut the rest into segments (i usually allow 24 hours before planting these) at about 12 inch segments. You can place these in dirt or you can lay them on their sides. Like i said this is what i've done im sure there are many others who may agree or disagree
