I love it but I have to move all my junk inside when a hurricane threatens so I'll keep mine scaled down
    LOL

Now that the LCBO in Ontario are giving refunds for wine, beer and liquor bottles, those are worth some good $$$$.

That is one massive bottle collection!

I never thought of it, but perhaps the owner of this glass forest should install security measures to keep his bottles from ending up at the deposit return counter.

And I do imagine that high winds could reduce this collection to broken shards.

But it sure must be neat to walk through this forest in the sunlight.

    cool, thanks for sharing!

Sadly I bet the bottles are all ones the owner found along the road side....

Wow, this is awesome! This belongs in the garden with the Dragon (see my prior post if you don't know what I'm talking about - it begins with "Garden Treasures).

Arcy, that may be true! I get a LOT of my bottles
from in front of my house where folks through them
out the car windows. Unfortunately, they are mostly
brown bottles, with a few green....I would like to
get a few colored ones-LOL. The blue ones mostly
    come from friends.
    That's an awesome bottle field!!!!

A little more info on this place....
Elmer Long's 'Bottle Forest' in Bryman, CA. That's just north of Victorville.

Also another bottle tree tip I read was to put the little mini patio/Xmas lights inside each bottle and then light it up at night. Very pretty!

Bottle trees are nice, but not my cup-of-tea. However, this forest is amazing and very attractive.

Oh boy, I was doing some google.com and stumbled onto a U-Tube video all about Elmer and his bottles. Really cool to see and hear how he began. Enjoy!!!

That's just awesome . I'd love a bottle tree , but the highschool kids around here would have target practice.
    *sigh* I can dream !

How cool! I like how he has whirligigs attached to his trees. I'm a big sucker for folk art so this is right up my alley. One day, if I ever get my own house and yard, I'll be one of those crazy people!
