I believe I'm obsessed

I have totally lost my mind over these totems. It happens, I get stuck on a project and must make tons of them before the urge passes. So, I wanted to share some of the gorgeous glass stuff I got yesterday and today.

The yellowish and the cream plates, I want to use to make a word, as yet unknown, like cindee11461 did on her fence, but I'm thinking of putting mine over the back door.

The earrings I was planning on using on BB's but my daughter clipped some in her hair and they are cute little hair clips, so they are hers for now....

This cup and saucer I want to try to make my 3rd 1/2cup glued to saucer

This last picture has a couple of pitchers in it. I'm going to paint some pvc pipe and attach these to the top for my cousin or aunt, whoever wants them. I was not sure what to put in them, I didn't want them to just be water catchers = mosquitoes, then my daughter (the same that nabbed my earrings!!) said, "put dirt in them and a little plant" well, duh. sometimes its wonderful to have someone point out the obvious to you!!!

Oh yeah, the desk is from GW, too. That is another project for this weekend. Sorry, no mosiacing, just stain this time. Hmmmm, the desk is also for the same daughter mentioned above. I'm noticing that my other two daughters might be getting left out a bit.....

Well I have to admit, I think some of that stuff is vintage glassware that can get you a pretty good sell on eBay, especially that carnival glass gravey bowl and plate. It's going to make some wonderful totems though and I sure hope you'll share your creations with us when you're done. Those deep red vases are gorgeous.

WOW!!!!! Can I come shopping with you!! I just love several pices you have there. The gravy boat is to die for and all those pink pieces... WOW!!!

What a haul!!!!!!!! If it were me I wouldn't use that gravy boat in garden art. I haven't looked up the value, but I know it's vintage carnival glass.

no, no, no, ladies. If you are talking about the copper piece in the first picture on the left, it must have been used for a flower arrangement - there's an FTD sticker on the bottom :).

Believe me, there are some SERIOUS antique hunters around here, the odds of me finding something valuable are pretty slim.

I did get some pretty saucers that are Universal Ballerina, a really pretty but antique mint green, with a sliver ring around the top. They looked old to me, due to the color. I looked them up on ebay, people were asking a nice price for dishes, but didn't seem that many people were bidding. That's my luck.

Probably the oldest items there are the cup and saucer.

I do appreciate you checking on my stuff, tho! Who knows, someday I may find a piece worth more than I paid for it. :)

Regarding the copper piece, I actually got that for my cousin, she loves copper, maybe to put fruit or something in it, INSIDE the house.

That cup and saucer are just lovely, those would go right into my china cabinet inside!!! You found some great pieces.
There's something VERY obsessive-compulsive about "glass hunts" I think. I have to be super careful in GW and remind myself I need to USE some before I buy some MORE. Tho special pieces are exempt from this line of thinking. LOL

Wonderful booty of treasures you have there! I can't wait to see what you do with the blue I-Dream-of-Jeannie, purple and red vases. My hands were just itching to nip those plates for mosaics! Great finds! Make sure you show pictures of your finished products.
