Pot Tree Finished

The tree is painted and this is probably where it will live. The bottom photo shows the pieces. Each one could work on it's own. Linda

That shade of green is lovely with the succulents you used, the whole tree looks perfect in that location.

But what is that FABULOUS wooden shed(?) behind it? Was that a found piece, something you built?--it's absolutely gorgeous & I'm insanely jealous. :)

Love love your pot tree. Wonderful. I need to find one of these stands. Your potting shed is cool. All the greens, so so pretty. All we're seeing brown brown brown. Yuck

Thank you! DS built the potting shed back in July. I expected sort of a plain box, but he showed up with this beautiful thing, custom made for the concrete pad in the first pic on the link below, where the filter sat before we demolished the pool. I threatened him that I'd move this into the house, then he could build me a POTTING SHED! LOL, Linda

lindasewandsew...WOW! That's an AWESOME pot tree...love that you painted it green and kept the pots and added the live plants! And you are very speedy! As katishooked said, nice to see the greens...I'll make you a deal...below is a pic from a walk in my pines on Sun. and that is my garden shed...you keep sending the "green" pics and I'll keep you supplied with "white!" A deal?? GREAT RECYCLING and a GREAT Christmas gift! Jeanne S. And fun to visit your shed again...so beautiful...my shed is old and falling apart!

Wow Jeanne, That's a beautiful shed!! Looks as big as a house. The photo looks like a greeting card. What are those white spots all over your photo? lol. We don't get any of that stuff here. It's been warm and mild, in the 70s most days and some in the 80s. Thanks, Linda

Love the tree. Love the shed. Love the dry stack wall. Is it chunks of driveway or sidewalk by chance?

I love how the tree turned out. The succulents are great on it. Nice to see your beautiful shed again too.

Thank you again. The concrete is my former pool decking. We kept it to use when the pool went away. Didn't want to have them haul tons of one thing away, then haul in tons of something else. I'm thinking about terracing my slope with that stuff. The pool demolition guy said he'll drop off clean broken concrete whenever I need it.

We have seen pot people and pot pets, heck, why not a pot tree? It looks great with the succulents! I'm hoping you didn't mention it in another post and I'm looking stupid but what was the tree itself in a past life?

Wonderful idea for using the busted up concrete from the pool deck too!

Hi Luna, I couldn't find any of these spinners at the store display companies on line. It may have been custom made for a specific product, but we haven't figured out what. It's well made and heavy enough to easily support the weight of the pots. I posted it in another thread a few days ago as a Christmas present, before it was painted. I saw it in a TS last week and told DH he could get it for me for Xmas. We went Monday and bought it ($30). Maybe next year we'll dress it up and drag it out front for Christmas. Linda

Linda--love the shelves & other signs in that shed. That's one heck of a DH you have there!

Hmmm.....now I'm ready to go hit some of the salvage stores around here; the trek into downtown stinks, but to haul back wood to make something like THAT....... ;)

My guess on the spinners is that they're for storing shoes--at least, that's how I've seen them used/displayed previously?

I absolutely love it!!! My kind of recycling - thanks for posting this! I've seen that kind of rack in a toy store around here with hand puppets on it.

I love the way your pot tree turned out! The shade of green is wonderful and it looks great with the plants in it too! I have planters just like the rectangular terra cotta ones on the shelf behind. Love them!

Your pot tree is absolutely gorgeous. I love clay pots & your collection is heavenly. What a fantastic way to display them. I've seen several "display racks" available in my area but couldn't get an idea of how to use them. You've created a masterpiece with yours.

What a cool and different tree. It's great at any time of year next to your beautiful potting shed.

    Love them both.

Wow I love that potting shed! That is gorgeous. Looks like a piece of antique furniture that belongs in the house. The pot tree is really cute! What a great way to keep them organized and readily available when needed. Great job!
