It sounds like you've made some lovely choices so far. But I can't quite tell from your posting whether you are asking about wall color or rugs or additional furniture choices. Can you clarify? From your choices so far it sounds like a nice neutral palette with different shades of browns and taupes and creams and khakis, with maybe a pop of a bright accent color if that interests you on some cushions and accessories or lamps, could work well throughout the space.

just a few suggestions, consider the primary light exposure - hot west/south facing or more cool north/east facing? I like to counter the natural light with an opposite shade (warm/cool) - this can be subtle or bold.

neutrals are fantastic alone but what are you naturally attracted to in the images in magazines and on Houzz? I find I love to look at pure neutral interiors but because I love color would probably miss living without it in some degree.

consider staying with rich white walls and painting the ceiling a muted shade of a favorite color - dusky gray blue with neutrals looks great and adds architectural interest without the architecture... lots of images like this on Houzz.
