I would love to have 6 chinoiserie style bamboo dining chairs but cannot afford this many. Would like opinions as to whether painting my existing chairs in black gloss paint would be good alternative? I propose to buy 2 chinoiserie faux bamboo carver chairs for the ends of the table instead. What could I do with the seating - paint black also, leave as is or replace with upholstered seat?
