Bulbophyllum cruentum.

This is the one macrobulbon that has eluded me. I successfully grow Bulbo phaelanopsis, fletcherianum, orthosepalum, agastor and macrobulbon. Only the first 3 have bloomed for me but the others are growing so there is hope. I have tried Bulbo cruentum 3 times and have lost the plant each time. I vowed not to throw away any more money on this reluctant and expensive beast but have found a nicely growing one with 5 bulbs and a new lead so will give it another shot.

Does anyone have experience growing this. Any special tricks? I know even Andy has difficulty growing it, I talked to him and he had no special advice. I suspect it may be a little cooler than the others but that is unconfirmed. Any help would be appreciated.

On the other hand, does anyone have a similar unsuccessful experience with it such as I have had until now?

Nick
