No exciting pictures to post yet, but a brag of sorts: After about 4 years of waiting, my oncidium (?) McKenzie Mountain has finally put out 5 spikes! I coddled and threatened this orchid and was ready to toss it out if no blooms this year. Kept moving it to different spots in the sunroom (southeast window), fertilized, withheld fertilizer, watered a lot, watered a little, but kept it in the same pot. Maybe the roots finally filled the pot and the sunnier location did the trick. Having NEVER had an orchid with more than 2 spikes, this will be a thrill.
