I bought this small plant, Dendrobium bigibbum, late last year and put it in the shade house to let it grow and settle in a bit. Of course, it was then forgotten. Just today I noticed it had a flower spike forming. First impression was something else had sprouted in the pot. It seems the plant is still a bit young and small to have flowers. Was just wondering if this is fairly common with these and they just initiate flowering and then blast until they get older? The flowering stem is 220 mm long.
