    It's actually recycled snow fence.....so similar to barn wood it was exposed to the elements for may years to produce the wonderful grey patina you see now....

    I love this look! The natural patina look is wonderful but you can create a similar look by treating Douglas Fir using steel wool and apple cider vinegar as explained here http://wp.me/p2uCsK-ak !! Depending on your project this could be a fun inexpensive alternative!

    No stain was used. The wood obtained this color over time from weathering and exposure to the elements.
