Maxillaria variables
I was given a Maxillaria variables from a friend last year. It's a few BBs from his. The only thing he told me is that it likes light, to be moderately wet and to let it dry out between waterings.I have searched and am unable to find specific care requirements and need them in deed.
It seems to be doing fairly well. I have two new PSs coming on (did have three, but one died) and very little new root growth. It is currently in a tiny pot with sphag. I water it once per week via soaking and it's in my greenhouse right under a light with a humidifier and a fan. The light has three bulbs in which I have two full-spectrum lights on the outside and on the inside a grow light (red bulb). The greenhouse is timed for 14 hours of light and humidity and 24 hours of fan.
I'm obviously not on the right track with this Max. as it's not doing as well as I would hope. It's been in these conditions for a little over a month; maybe closer to two months.
I appreciate any help from all you other growers out there. Thanks so much in advance! :-)
