Yes, when I first got it the spot it was in got some direct sun.It was in bud and I wanted it to get good light.I eventually moved it to a shaded area.The brown discolored areas are raised in some places.Is it just sunburn?

Are they purple, or brown? They look purple in the pics, and purple is usually a sign of a 'tan'. Even if it's more brown, it might not be 'sick', and yet still just a ran.

They are browm and raised in some areas.The orchid is in a shaded area with dappled light now.The discoloration on the leaves is not spreading.I've never seen sunburn on leaves look like that.Better sunburn than disease.Thanks for your input.

One of my orchids looked exactly like that after I had it in the sun outside last summer. It was under a large tree but still received some direct sun in the morning. It also got the raised brown areas. All the new growth since being inside is normal green again.
