Orchid Evaluation

My first attempts at orchids were the bloomed out ones at Big Box realtors, at 50% off. I only recently got up enough courage after keeping the horribly beat up ones alive for a few years to branch out and buy blooming happy plants. I'm sort of wondering about those two I still have hanging on from their dying and beat up days.

One is this Dendrobium. When I bought it there were maybe 5 good roots and the rest had grown into a large rotten piece of bark. I spent a good while peeling it out of the soaking wet bark and repotted it in chips. It's been well over a year, and now I'm wondering exactly what to do with it. Does it look okay for a very beat up start. This spring it seems to be putting out new growth rather than just subsisting as it has for a very long time. Is it a good sign?

Dendrobium 1 - Base of Plant

Dendrobium 2 -- Upper growth.

Second beat up one is a Cattleya I think. Same deal, few roots, though it doesn't sit in it's pot as well. It put out one new leaf pseudobulb thing a few months ago, and it put out a flower leaf? (that leaf that from what I understand is a prelude to flowering on this types, but maybe I'm wrong) before I went on vacation, which had been killed by my mother by the time I got back. It's now growing two new pseudobulbss. Does it look like it's overall healthy, or not?

Cattleya

I feel like I need someone who knows what they're looking at to tell me if they look okay or not. And as I said before, okay for horribly beat up plants to begin with.

Thanks for any replies
